A Legacy of Accountability
This document outlines the formal succession plan for the Ternary Moral Logic (TML) framework. It details a decentralized, multi-stakeholder governance model to ensure the long-term viability and integrity of this open-source system for AI ethics and accountability.

Back to RepositoryThe TML Framework: Core Components
TML is built on mandatory transparency and non-negotiable ethical constraints, enforced through cryptographic and economic incentives.
Always Memory
Mandates the creation of an immutable log on a public blockchain *before* any significant automated action can occur. This ensures a permanent, auditable trail.
Sacred Zero
A fail-safe that automatically halts any process predicted to violate one of 46+ foundational human rights and environmental protection documents.
Smart Contract Enforcement
Uses multi-chain infrastructure (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Polygon) to automate penalty enforcement, whistleblower rewards, and victim compensation.
The Memorial Fund
Penalties from violations are automatically distributed to victims, environmental restoration, whistleblowers, and research.
A Decentralized Governance Model
To prevent capture and ensure long-term mission alignment, TML's governance is decentralized across a multi-organization Stewardship Council. No single entity has control.
Primary Technical Custodian
Recommended: Electronic Frontier Foundation
Manages the open-source repository, oversees blockchain infrastructure, and provides technical community support.
Human Rights Partner
Recommended: Amnesty International
Monitors enforcement of 26+ human rights documents and coordinates support for victims of AI harm.
Earth Protection Partner
Recommended: Indigenous Environmental Network
Monitors enforcement of 20+ environmental treaties and oversees Indigenous Data Sovereignty.
AI Ethics Research Partner
Recommended: MIT Media Lab or Stanford HAI
Guides future research, evolves implementation standards, and coordinates academic collaboration.
Memorial Fund Administrator
Recommended: Memorial Sloan Kettering
Administers the 5% of the fund dedicated to computational cancer research, in memory of the creator.
Community Representative
To be elected
Represents the interests of the implementers, developers, and the broader user community in council decisions.
The Memorial Fund Distribution
Penalties from TML violations are collected into the Memorial Fund and distributed according to a fixed, permanent formula. Hover over the chart for details.
Succession Timeline: A 180-Day Plan
The transition is structured in four distinct phases. Select a phase to see the key actions and objectives.
Phase 1: Notification (Days 1-30)
The initial phase focuses on public announcement and formal communication with potential custodians.
- Publish the succession declaration to the public repository.
- Formally notify all recommended custodian organizations.
- Announce the transition to the TML community via all channels.
- Archive all current documentation to ensure preservation.
Carry the Mission Forward
The TML framework was designed to persist. This is an invitation to the digital rights, human rights, and environmental communities to engage in this succession process.
